The MIG 205A from Vector Welding is a MIG / MAG welding machine with 30-205A in MIG / MAG mode, 30-170A in MMA mode, and 10-200A in TIG mode (optional).

The MIG / MAG welding process with its automatic wire feed is suitable for many welding applications, even when working in hard-to-reach places.

MIG 205A FEATURES & BENEFITS:

  • MIG / MAG: welding with automatic wire feed . In MIG welding , argon (less often helium) is used as the shielding gas; this process is preferred for non-ferrous metals and stainless steel. The MAG process uses CO2 or a mixed gas consisting of argon, CO2 and O2 as a protective gas and is mainly used for simple and low-alloy steel such as structural steel.

  • Settings according to wire size: If you set the wire size (0.6 | 0.8 | 1), a preset current (A) and wire feed speed, matched to the selected wire size, appears. The amperage can be changed within the specified range. Here amps are coupled to volts, the speed of the wire feed can be set separately.

  • In SPL mode (Separated Parameter Level) amps, volts and the speed of the wire feed can be set independently of each Other. A great advantage if an individual setting is desired. br>

  • Inductance: The device has a continuously adjustable choke. This smoothes the welding current and changes the rate of increase in current so that the weld seam quality and precision is improved.

  • 2 cycle / 4 cycle (MIG / MAG and TIG)

  • MMA / STICK / E-HAND: coated electrodes are used - in this process the electrodes are the arc carrier and filler metal in one.

  • Hotstart: Each time the welding machine is restarted, overcurrent is provided and thus the ignition of the arc is supported.

  • Arc Force: Melted material is more easily transferred to the workpiece. Prevents the arc from being extinguished if this material makes contact between the electrode and the weld pool.

  • Anti-Stick automatically switches off the welding generator if the electrode sticks to the workpiece and has to be removed by hand without damaging the electrode clamp.

  • DC-TIG welding ( optional : only possible with additional hose package and cables): welding of almost all metals

  • Lift Arc: Ignition occurs when there is contact with the workpiece, then the torch can be raised and the welding process starts with the selected parameters.

  • Modern IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) enables fast and thus low-loss switching of electrical currents

  • Overheating protection
